Myler® Stainless Steel Medium Baucher, MB 33 Low Medium Wide Ported Barrel, Level 3. For English disciplines but not legal in dressage as port exceeds 30mm in height.
The MB 33 is the mildest Myler mouthpiece in terms of tongue pressure. The generously wide port allows room for the tongue to pass almost completely under the bit. Because this mouthpiece does not rotate on to the tongue and the port is wide, it applies little to no tongue pressure, working primarily off the lips and bars. The port on this mouthpiece is 1 1/2" high, so it will apply little to no palate pressure. Because the MB 33 offers such a high degree of tongue relief, the horse that goes well in this mouthpiece has a trustworthy and consistent disposition, and is trained to work off the leg and seat as well as the hands.

Also known as a “hanging cheek” because the bridle attaches at the purchase. The fixed cheek keeps the bit suspended in the horse’s mouth and prevents it from sliding around in the bridle, giving the rider more control over the mouthpiece than a traditional loose ring. However, the reins remain free to slide. When engaged, the reins will pull back on the cheekpiece and mouthpiece, as well as rotate the purchase forward slightly, creating some poll pressure. Even though it has a fixed cheek, the Baucher is still considered a direct rein action cheekpiece because there is no leverage or curb action.

Saddles and riding boots may be returned within 90 days, but are subject to a prorated refund based on usage. Used saddles may be returned for 30 days only. For everyone’s protection, treats and vet meds which have been opened are not returnable, and returned blankets must be clean and free of debris. Underwear is not returnable or exchangeable.

To protect all customers and ensure that every return or exchange is handled fairly, we may require a receipt or decline a return in these situations:
- Item was not purchased directly from Dover Saddlery. (It was purchased at a used tack sale or from a retailer or online seller other than Dover Saddlery.)
- Item is missing a label or has been defaced.
- No receipt and no valid identification in our stores.
- Item is wet, dirty, or contaminated, or until it has been cleaned. (For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on used, defective, or poorly fitting blankets if they are UNWASHED.)
- Item has been lost, stolen, damaged, or misused.
- On rare occasions, based on the nature of prior transactions.
- Supplements have been opened or used.
- Multiple returns of the same item.
- Personalized items may not be returned unless defective.
