Returns Policy

Shop with 100% confidence at Dover Saddlery – if something doesn’t fit you or your horse, return it within 90 days and we’ll refund, exchange or replace!

Step 1: Create your Federal Express return label.
Items returned for a shipping charge of $7.95 for a package up to 9 pounds plus an additional charge of $1 for every additional pound. This charge will be deducted from the amount of your return.

Step 2: Affix the label to your package – include your original invoice with your return.

Step 3: Drop the package off at a FedEx location. This service is only available within the contiguous 48 United States. See below for additional options and associated charges.

For returns originating outside of the 48 contiguous US States, please prepay the return shipping costs. You may return via the method of your choice, but please obtain a tracking number and insure your package, as we are not responsible for lost packages. Packages should be sent to:

Policy Details:
Manufacturer’s warranty extended to 24 months or for full length of those warranties, whichever is longer.

- Safety items such as helmets and protective vests may be returned within 30 days of purchase with their original tags intact.
- New saddles and riding boots may be returned within 90 days of purchase and are subject to a prorated refund based on usage.
- Used saddles may be returned within 30 days of purchase
- Treats & vet meds which have been opened are not returnable.
- Horse apparel including blankets must be returned in clean condition, free of debris.
- Underwear is not returnable or exchangable.

Special Situations:
To protect all customers and ensure that every return or exchange is handled fairly, we may require a receipt or decline a return in these situations:

- Item was not purchased directly from Dover Saddlery – we do not accept items purchased from used tack sales, other retailers, or online sellers
- Item is missing a label or has been defaced
- Item is wet, dirty or contaminated, or until it has been cleaned.
- On rare occasions, based on the nature of prior transactions including multiple returns of the same item.
- Supplements that have been opened or used.
- Personalized items may not be returned unless defective.

Gift with Purchase Policy:
To receive a full refund or credit for a purchase that includes at "Gift with Purchase" or "Free Promotioinal Gift Card" the gift with purchase must be returned with the qualifying order. Any unused Free Promotional Gift Cards will be voided at the time of return. If the Promotional Gift Card has been used, the value of the Promotional Gift Card will be deducted from the refund of the qualifying purchase.

Where is my Refund or Exchange?

*Please note: Your refund may take several business days from the time your return is processed until you see the refund in your financial institution*

How it works:
- After you ship your return back, it’s received by Fedex at one of their hubs and consolidated with other returns packages. Finally, they deliver your package (along with other customer’s packages) back to our Littleton, Massachusetts customer service center. It arrives back to us generally between 10-21 days after you ship it depending on your geographic location and which service is used to ship it back. Some carriers have been running over three weeks on returning packages to us.
- Once your return is actually delivered to the Dover Saddlery facility, your package is opened, handled, and your request for a refund or exchange is processed between 3-5 business days.

- Your refund is processed, and information is sent from Dover Saddlery to your financial institution.
- Your refund will be accepted by your financial institution and show on your account in 1-4 business days. (This varies depending on your financial institution’s policy and processing time)

- Your exchange item is processed depending on availability and is shipped from our warehouse within 48 business hours from the time the exchange order is placed. Items shipping from the manufacturer may take a bit longer.
- Your exchange order is shipped to you via standard shipping and should arrive in 2-9 business days depending on your geographic location.
