PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Passier® Ingrid Klimke Event Saddle
The Passier® Ingrid Klimke Event Saddle is the result of many years of collaboration between this master saddle maker and the German Olympic team champion and top eventing rider. This eventing saddle is the perfect combination of modern style, maximum comfort and uncompromising fit for your horse.
The flaps, seat and exterior knee rolls are covered with Passier’s Jupa leather, a durable cowhide with nonslip properties, to offer added security for the rider. Wide, full-grain leather reinforcements at the bases of the flaps protect against wear. Made with a soft seat for rider comfort, this saddle is built on the PS saddle tree and features knee blocks, calf blocks and Freedom Panels. A narrow twist enables close contact with the horse. The rear area of the saddle tree has been enlarged to ensure the horse’s maximum freedom of movement. Passier’s Freedom Panels and an even larger surface contact area ensure an optimum fit to the horse's back, thus making the saddle particularly horse-friendly.
Freedom Panels create more space on either side of the horse’s withers by lowering the channel seam to virtually eliminate panel contact in this area. This panel design includes a wide gullet and generous contact surface in the back third of the panel.
Representing the pinnacle of Passier quality, the PS tree is an exclusive design developed by Passier more than a half-century ago and has been continuously produced ever since. More than 1,200 steps are necessary to create each tree, which is made primarily from layers of wood and leather with strips of bamboo worked in for flexibility. Spring band steel reinforcements provide stability to the tree. A wrought chrome alloy gullet plate is sturdy but not rigid, and because of shorter points, allows more freedom of movement through the horse’s shoulders.

For manufacturer's defects, we'll extend the manufacturer's warranty to a maximum of 24 months, regardless of their individual policies. Manufacturer warranties longer than 24 months will be honored and supported by us as well up to the length of those warranties.
Exceptions: Safety items such as helmets and protective vests may only be returned within 30 days, with their original tags intact. Saddles and riding boots may be returned within 90 days, but are subject to a prorated refund based on usage. Used saddles may be returned for 30 days only. For everyone’s protection, treats and vet meds which have been opened are not returnable, and returned blankets must be clean and free of debris. Underwear is not returnable or exchangeable.
Special Conditions
To protect all customers and ensure that every return or exchange is handled fairly, we may require a receipt or decline a return in these situations:
- Item was not purchased directly from Dover Saddlery. (It was purchased at a used tack sale or from a retailer or online seller other than Dover Saddlery.)
- Item is missing a label or has been defaced.
- No receipt and no valid identification in our stores.
- Item is wet, dirty, or contaminated, or until it has been cleaned. (For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on used, defective, or poorly fitting blankets if they are UNWASHED.)
- Item has been lost, stolen, damaged, or misused.
- On rare occasions, based on the nature of prior transactions.
- Supplements have been opened or used.
- Multiple returns of the same item.
- Personalized items may not be returned unless defective.
