Warehouse Associate

Dover Saddlery - Littleton, MA

The Warehouse Associate has the baseline skill set to process and execute step by step instructions with few errors. This role could be working in any area of the warehouse including, but not limited to receiving, picking, packing, pull down, put away, Inventory/Quality Control, and facilities. Full-Time shifts are typically Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm.

• Learn and completely understand the upstream and downstream impacts of the tasks you are asked to execute.
• Works with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.
• Recognize and bring issues to light such as but not limited to product, paperwork, labeling, or other errors as well as product damage or expiration.
• Maintain documentation and records of items pick and put away locations and/or quantities.
• Meet schedules and timelines.
• Maintain storage areas and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly and safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Help Desk Technician

Dover Saddlery - Littleton, MA

The Help Desk Technician (HDT) is a member of the Information Technology support team. The HDT troubleshoots problem areas (in person, by telephone, remote control, or via e-mail) in a timely & accurate fashion and provides end-user assistance where required. The HDT is responsible for clear, concise problem documentation, prompt resolution where possible and/or escalation of problems as they are presented to the Help Desk. The HDT is primarily responsible for support of desktops & laptops, POS Equipment, various Windows operating systems, common desktop applications like MS-office, basic network support, email & remote network connectivity software like Fortinet VPN.

• Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, telephones, and other computer-related technologies. Escalates more complex problems to manager or other technical staff as needed.
• Logs and tracks calls using problem management database and maintains history records and related problem documentation. Evaluates incident reports and makes recommendations to reduce recurring incidents.
• Contacts software, hardware, and network vendors to request service regarding defective products.
• Provides user training on software and hardware on-site or in classroom or recommends outside contractors to provide training. Writes or revises user training manuals and procedures. Helps to educate and enforce best practices of network usage and security.
• Installs personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment. Helps users relocate equipment as required. Helps provision new and repurposed equipment. Coordinates staff provisioning for new hires.
• Provides communication to the Dover user community regarding planned and/or unplanned system outages.
• Helps to manage hardware inventory, maintain records of hardware assets and accountability of software licensing. Label and document printers and network equipment.
• Order new equipment and supplies as necessary and keep billing and invoice-PO tracking up to date.
• Occasional off-hours or on-call work is required to support retail locations that operate seven days a week.
• Perform other routine tasks listed, but not limited to below,
• Assign and manage e-mail distribution lists
• Adjust privileges when necessary
• Coordinate phone moves, adds and changes
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Computer Science and one to two years supporting desktops & laptops and other peripheral equipment in a retail organization with solid experience providing local and wide area network support. Microsoft Certifications are a plus. Experience will include installing, maintaining, upgrading, Personal Computers, network hardware and software in a Windows environment. Experience with server administration is a plus.

Thorough knowledge of PCs, laptops, and printers is required. Should know MS-Office365 suite, e-mail systems & client software, basic LAN / WAN troubleshooting and usage/configuration of hand-held devices.
