Ultrashield® Gold offers Absorbine’s most advanced fly protection with a formula that works differently than traditional fly solutions. Formulated with innovative Absorbine FlyShield®, UltraShield Gold Spray delivers exceptional repellency and protection from biting insects by disrupting their ability to locate and land on your horse. Ready to use, water-based formula with a bright, pleasant aroma with notes of citrus and leather.
Kills and repels over 100 insects including: biting and nuisance flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and ticks. Including horse flies, stable flies, face flies, horn flies, deer flies, house flies, black flies, cluster flies, sciarid flies, gnats, midges, punkies, no-see-ums, deer ticks, lone star ticks, chiggers, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, Gulf Coast ticks, fleas (including cat, dog, human, sticktight, oriental rat and chigoe fleas) and lice.

USE AS A SPRAY: Brush animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Spray horse’s entire body while brushing against the lay of the coat to ensure adequate coverage. Reapply every 1 to 17 days or as needed. For best results reapply each time animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain. After application, brush thoroughly to bring out bright sheen on the coat.
USE AS A WIPE: Brush animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Apply this product to a soft cloth and apply to the horse’s face and ears. Reapply every 1 to 17 days or as needed. For best results reapply each time animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain. After application, brush thoroughly to bring out bright sheen on the coat.
USE AS A PREMISE (Barn/Building) SPRAY: Spray in areas where insects congregate. Apply at a rate of 1 quart (32 oz) per 250 sq. ft. Direct spray to contact insects for rapid knockdown and kill. Spray around door facings and screens to render area unattractive to insects. This will help to repel insects and prevent entrance into building. Treat surfaces to ensure thorough coverage but avoid runoff. To treat insects harbored in voids and cracks-and-crevices, applications must be made in such a manner to limit dripping and avoid runoff onto untreated structural surfaces and plants. Spot treatments must not exceed two square feet in size (for example, 2 ft. by 1 ft. or 4 ft. by 0.5 ft.).
FIELD TESTED: Proven effective with a long-lasting repellency that protects and stays active for 17 days. Lasts in all weather conditions and provides protection from insects that cause Sweet Itch.
CAUTION: Avoid getting into horse’s eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not wet skin or apply to the point of dripping or exceeding two ounces per application.

For manufacturer's defects, we'll extend the manufacturer's warranty to a maximum of 24 months, regardless of their individual policies. Manufacturer warranties longer than 24 months will be honored and supported by us as well up to the length of those warranties.
Exceptions: Safety items such as helmets and protective vests may only be returned within 30 days, with their original tags intact. Saddles and riding boots may be returned within 90 days, but are subject to a prorated refund based on usage. Used saddles may be returned for 30 days only. For everyone’s protection, treats and vet meds which have been opened are not returnable, and returned blankets must be clean and free of debris. Underwear is not returnable or exchangeable.
Special Conditions
To protect all customers and ensure that every return or exchange is handled fairly, we may require a receipt or decline a return in these situations:
- Item was not purchased directly from Dover Saddlery. (It was purchased at a used tack sale or from a retailer or online seller other than Dover Saddlery.)
- Item is missing a label or has been defaced.
- No receipt and no valid identification in our stores.
- Item is wet, dirty, or contaminated, or until it has been cleaned. (For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on used, defective, or poorly fitting blankets if they are UNWASHED.)
- Item has been lost, stolen, damaged, or misused.
- On rare occasions, based on the nature of prior transactions.
- Supplements have been opened or used.
- Multiple returns of the same item.
- Personalized items may not be returned unless defective.
