PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Wintec 500 All-Purpose Saddle with Flocked Panels

The Wintec 500 All-Purpose Saddle with Flocked Panels is practicality and comfort at its best. The most supple and durable leather-look saddle yet, it offers a deep seat that promotes a feeling of security in the rider. The subtly textured synthetic leather is comfortable, grippy and easy-care—it can simply be hosed clean after a day of riding.   

For the horse, super-soft flocked panels mold in and around the muscles, hugging the shape of the horse while providing the freedom to move. The EASY-CHANGE™ Fit Solution allows for an adaptable fit. Weighing just 13.2 pounds, the Wintec 500 is also a joy to handle.

  • Ergonomic Stirrup Bar: Places the buckle of a stirrup leather in a recessed position to reduce bulk under your thigh.
  • Adjustable Flexibloc System: Enables you to customize thigh support to your preference.
  • EASY-CHANGE Fit Solution: For total saddle fit, select the optimal gullet width for the horse’s current shape and muscling, and use risers to make adjustments within the saddle panels for optimal balance and clearance.
  • Quick-change billet system: Allows customization by a saddler or saddle fitter and provides the assurance that billets can be returned to factory standard for the life of the saddle.
  • Adjustable Y-girthing: Allows for an ideal adjustment and promotes saddle stability.
  • Elastiflex tree: Lightweight and durable, maintains clearance over the horse’s withers and provides lateral flexion to work with the horse’s muscular movement in every stride.

This saddle also has a changeable stirrup keeper (additional purchase needed).

The Dover Saddlery Guarantee

If something doesn’t fit you or your horse, return your original purchase within 30 days, and we’ll make it right with a refund, exchange, or replacement.

For manufacturer's defects, we'll extend the manufacturer's warranty to a maximum of 24 months, regardless of their individual policies. Manufacturer warranties longer than 24 months will be honored and supported by us as well up to the length of those warranties.

Exceptions: Safety items such as helmets and protective vests may only be returned within 30 days, with their original tags intact. Saddles and riding boots may be returned within 90 days, but are subject to a prorated refund based on usage. Used saddles may be returned for 30 days only. For everyone’s protection, treats and vet meds which have been opened are not returnable, and returned blankets must be clean and free of debris. Underwear is not returnable or exchangeable.

Special Conditions

To protect all customers and ensure that every return or exchange is handled fairly, we may require a receipt or decline a return in these situations:

  • Item was not purchased directly from Dover Saddlery. (It was purchased at a used tack sale or from a retailer or online seller other than Dover Saddlery.)
  • Item is missing a label or has been defaced.
  • No receipt and no valid identification in our stores.
  • Item is wet, dirty, or contaminated, or until it has been cleaned. (For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on used, defective, or poorly fitting blankets if they are UNWASHED.)
  • Item has been lost, stolen, damaged, or misused.
  • On rare occasions, based on the nature of prior transactions.
  • Supplements have been opened or used.
  • Multiple returns of the same item.
  • Personalized items may not be returned unless defective.
