With more than three million helmets sold to riders, Troxel® Performance Headgear is clearly a leading provider of ASTM approved/SEI certified equestrian helmets. Troxel was founded in 1898 and has long been a pioneer in helmet design.

In 1992, Troxel was first to introduce ASTM approved equestrian helmets to the marketplace. It is also the only company recognized for its physician-developed research and development program. Dr. Timms, critical care specialist, research professor at the Scripps Institute and University of California and member of the ASTM committee on headgear, personally directs Troxel's research and development efforts.

Troxel was the first company to develop a lightweight, ventilated ASTM approved equestrian helmet to keep riders cooler in both the schooling and showing arenas. With the debut of the Dakota helmet, Troxel became the first manufacturer to create a riding helmet specifically designed for western and trail riders. Later, with the addition of the Sierra, it became the first to offer a leather-covered helmet exterior.

Troxel was also the first riding helmet company to introduce a dial fit system, which today spans the SureFit™ Pro, GPS III™ and GPS II™ systems, which provide easy-to-use, quick-fitting adjustments, as well as the FlipFold™ headliner fit system, which can even be removed for laundering.

It was the first helmet company to offer an accident replacement program to make replacing crash helmets more affordable, and the first to introduce rubberized paint coverings, Duratec™, for exceptionally easy care and long-lasting good looks.

With all the "firsts" to market Troxel has designed over the years, it is no wonder they have become the chosen brand of so many riders across disciplines. Browse Troxel helmets for a style to suit your own needs.
