This E.A. Mattes Gold Wool Contour Dressage Pad with Bare Flaps features a contoured shape that eliminates excess quilt from showing under the saddle. Mattes dense wool is placed under the saddle panel area only to provide maximum comfort and protection for the horse, while eliminating bulk under the rider’s legs. The Mattes quilt has one layer of Poly-Flex® to help absorb shock and provide added substance to the pad.
E.A. Mattes Gold Collection pads incorporate all the key design features for which the Mattes Platinum Collection Sheepskin pads are known—anatomically correct toplines, Spine Free® along the length of the spine for optimal clearance, and use of the highest quality materials. These pads are made with high-loft, dense 1 1/4" long wool on fabric backing rather than on hide, specifically for Mattes.

Machine wash with liquid Melp. Dry naturally away from heat sources and sun, pulling pad into shape while drying. Brush fleece fibers gently to restore loft. See manufacturer's label for detailed care instructions.
