Retail Product Advisor - Dressage Extensions

Dressage Extensions is a Luxury Equestrian Specialty company serving the Dressage community for over 30 years. Dressage Extensions provides the premier tack and apparel catalog, website and retail store designed to meet the needs of the discerning dressage rider. We are looking to fill 2 part-time positions. Due to COVID-19 the store's operating hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11am-5pm, this schedule is subject to change. Qualified candidates must be able to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service experience.
• Answer questions, suggest promotional items and provide product information.
• Process payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash and store or other credit cards.
• Process customer refunds courteously and professionally.
• Process merchandise shipments.
• Assist with store upkeep.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed.

Warehouse responsibilities include:
• Contribute to daily inbound or outbound warehouse operations.
• Receive, check in and put away stock with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.
• Assemble, keenly inspect, and assess product condition to ensure first-quality level check before entering merchandise into inventory.
• Receive, inspect, document and process all client returned merchandise in a timely manner.
• Carefully inspect outbound packages.
• Support FedEx, USPS, Freight, Returns and Retail Operations department as needed.
• Continuously seek to eradicate operational inefficiencies and performance gaps.
• Maintain documentation and records of items pick and put away locations and/or quantities.
• Recognize and bring issues to light such as but not limited to product, paperwork, labeling, or other errors as well as product damage or expiration.
• Meet schedules and timelines.
• Maintain storage areas and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly and safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Knowledge of equestrian products (Preferred)
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
• Good telephone etiquette
• Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• Ability to twist, stoop, kneel, squat, bend and/or climb mobile ladders with product in hand and occasionally lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
• This position involves constant moving, talking, listening, reaching, grabbing, and standing for most of the shift
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
• Available to work a variety of hours, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
