Traditional elastic girths only have the elastic inserts at one end, therefore, all of the stretch occurs from one side only. This design can potentially cause rubbing and discomfort as all movement and stretching of the elastic comes from one side of the girth only.
Where is the elastic in this Girth'
The elastic in this girth is in the center and, therefore, you can't see it. The unique advantage of this design is that the entire body stretches and the weight is transferred to the horse evenly over the whole surface of the girth with no pressure points or ridges.
How does this work'
Robust, load bearing webbing attaches the buckles at each end of the girth to the elastic which is located in the center of the girth, applying the stretch evenly throughout the entire length of the girth. The outer covering of this girth will not absorb sweat and will never dry or harden and, therefore, only needs to be cleaned by a wipe with a wet cloth.
