Wonderful bit! Be sure to buy at least a 1/4 inch (1/2 inch if you plan to use bit guards) bigger than your horse needs since it is a loose ring and works differently from a snaffle. It's wonderful for those horses who 'lean' on their bits. It is not a harsh bit, despite it's looks. Just don't be heavy handed with it. It basically is designed to gently lay over the tongue and if the horse leans on it it will stiffen up so they can't lock onto it. I also would not use it as your 'regular' bit; alternate it with your normal bit. I highly recommend it for someone who has the knowledge to use it, and a horse that truly needs it. Great quality.

It is a great bit. I have two Thoroughbreds with totally different personalities and they both love it. I recommend it for people who are having a difficult time finding a bit their horse likes. With those two horse I think I have tried over fifty different bits.
