I got this bit for my TB gelding who his previous owner was using a gag for cross county and a leverage bit for stadium. I now have him in this and he seems to like it. The only thing is after you use it hose it off because all the grass and stuff that is in your horses mouth get in all the little holes in the bit. Also I didnt have keepers for it at first but I would recomend getting them it helps with leverage but also it looks nicer.

I have a mare that was really fussy about the bit. Vet checks, equine dentists, we tried everything including a whole series of bits. A friend, who is a trainer, recommended this, and the Dover Neck Stretcher. We tried them on and the difference was instant. My girl relaxed, was a dream to ride and no more head shaking or jaw grinding. This is a great bit. It is comfortable, but still effective. I am going to buy my own now.

My horse, a TB loves this bit. I feel he finds it comfortable and is instantly responsive with it. I suggest it for a playful horse, his mouth is much quieter.
