You cannot use spray coolant/lube on these clippers, and for me they became intolerably hot after just 5-10 mins of clipping even with repeated oiling. My horse was not overly hairy or dirty, but I kept having to stop and let them cool. They also clip very close to the skin. Much prefer Oster Clipmasters.

These clippers are awesome! I just got them about a week ago and did my horses legs. They did a great job and were easy to use all around. Tomorrow I'll do his whole body and don't anticipate any problem. They're light, they stay cool and my horse doesn't mind them at all. I've been holding off on buying clippers for years. I really did my due diligence on these and Love them. Not disappointed at all.

I was very pleased with this set of clippers. Years ago we had the Oster Clipmaster, and they were very heavy and awkward for me, at 5'3" and small hands. These are sized particularly well for ladies. Vibration is minimal, and although I wouldn't say "loud", they did make a little more noise than I expected. The attached blades do cut VERY close. I ordered the medium blades as well, and opted for those. The mediums cut just a smidge longer than our Oster 10 blades on the A-5. The blades did get warm after about half the cut, but I could still hold my hand to them without being uncomfortably hot. Time will tell for durability, but after just one body clip I'm satisfied for now! The canvas case is also very nice.
