Vespucci Fancy Raised Hunter Bridle
Easily go from schooling straight to the show ring! Nose and cheek piece are incorporated into one streamlined crown and only padding is against the horse's poll. The flexible buckle guard protects against pinching. This Vespucci bridle features stainless steel hardware, roller buckle at caveson and hook stud closures. Laced reins are included. In dark brown or oakbark. P/S, C/S, F/S.
For a properly fitted bridle, a caveson noseband should sit just below the horse's cheekbones – generally no more than the width of 2 fingers from the bottom of the cheekbone to the top of the noseband (this does not apply to drop or figure 8 nosebands). Figure 8 nosebands should sit above the bottom of the cheek bone only if they have a ring that allows movement connecting the noseband to the cheek piece. The browband should never be gaping or flopping. Click Here for more information and examples.

Properly adjusted cheek pieces will cause the bit to create two gentle wrinkles at the corner of the mouth on each side. Cheek piece buckles should generally be at the level of a horse's eye, and on a bridle that fits a horse's head very well, all buckles will generally be at the same level as each other. These cheek piece guidelines are just a suggestion, as finding a perfect fit on all horses is near impossible. Multiple holes are given on cheek pieces to allow for vast adjustment. Keep in mind that the proper position of the bit is a priority over buckle placement. Click Here for more information and examples.

Some horses can be difficult to fit in a stock size bridle. For this reason, additional bridle pieces can be bought in a variety of sizes and it is never a problem to mix and match sizes of individual pieces to get the proper fit. Click Here to shop all bridle parts.

For a bridle size chart, please refer to the "Size Guide" link that appears on the product page.
As Peter Menet's Amerigo saddles redefined how the rider sits on a horse, Vespucci bridles take into consideration the biomechanics of a horse in motion. Following an anatomical study of veins, arteries and soft tissue areas of the horse's head, Menet concluded that traditional bridles can inflict pain and impede performance. Vespucci bridles are engineered to alleviate pressure on sensitive areas of the poll, chin, cheeks and nose bridge. Crafted from top quality English leather, they are unrivaled in comfort and performance.

This is one of the nicest bridles I have ever bought. It hasn't left any rubs on my horse and she has VERY sensitive skin. The single crown makes it not only more comfy for my horse but it makes tack cleaning so much easier. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality at a reasonable price.

Really nice bridle and quality. The noseband is a pain to do up, especially if you are using a martingale with it (with the extra padding, that is not removable, it makes it hard to quickly put the martingale back on!) Also, the sizing is a little strange. Throatlatches are HUGE, while the rest of the bridle runs normal. Overall quality is great, but fit and function isnt as good.
