I can't really compare this to other surcingles other than the price, since I'm completely new to vaulting, as is everybody at our barn. But when my 7 year old started "doing gymnastics" after her riding lessons... I'm so glad to find this incredibly affordable surcingle... so glad Dover carried it. It's sturdy, well built, comfortable for the horse and our kids. We now have several kids interested and the beginnings of a vaulting program.
