I have had these snaps for about 5 years and I love them. I have a TB that has learned how to relax in cross ties because he realizes he is not trapped. They are hard to attach at first, but once you figure them out, they are no problem.

these are great...No problem attaching to horse, you just press the button up and the jaws open to put on horse, pull anywhere on the black plastic head to release....pretty simple concept.

Not sure why the other rater had trouble attaching to horse, you simply push the button and the jaws open up, pull on the tie and it opens, I used these at a barn this summer and love them am now ordering for my own barn.
