I LOVE this kit! It keeps everything in one place, and easy to access. I only event to Training level, so these studs are all I really ever need. I really like the metal plugs. They stay in place and keep the threads clean. My husband is a farrier, and he puts some bowstring wax on the plug before he puts it in. The wax prevents any rust and keeps the hole VERY clean. I rarely need to use the tap. I do agree that the safety taps are better, but for the price, you can't beat this kit!

Hi Andrea, Thank you for your inquiry about the measurement on these studs. The kit includes grass and road studs. The grass studs are the bigger of the two and they measure 1/2".
