I love the rowwel spurs. I ride a big hunter that is super lazy and they work wonders. I usually jump and hack in them. They keep him much more out in front of my leg than when I rode him in big rounded spurs. The only downside i see to these spurs is once you use them for a while they don't turn as well and need the sand and mud that collects in the rowwel part cleaned out. I have 2 pairs so one can be cleaned and I always have a clean pair for showing in. My friend had issues with her horse and borrowed my rowwels for a show and went and bought her own. My trianer calls them the "Magical Spurs" because they were the only thing that you can keep my hunter going with.
