Blanket Well Made but Does NOT Work for my Arab

Blanket is very well made. I bought the "navy blue" blanket and it is PURPLE! I love purple and I have a mare so big deal. However, this blanket rips out her mane. She'll go into winter with her mane growing back and the neck piece on this blanket just shreds it. Not sure if it's b/c it's all one piece. Also she gets huge rubs on the top of her rump from this blanket - must be pulling. Again, I think it's b/c it's one piece. She's an Arab and a bit sway backed as she's retired.

Best blanket I ever bought. I had it for ~1 year. I have no tears or rips even with my gelding being turned out with other geldings that like to nip and pull at his blanket. It really does last and it's perfect amount of warmth for midwest winters. I will definitely buy again for my next horse.

I LOVE this blanket. It comes high in front on the chest, and bottom of the neck cover comes low, so there is no gap there, as there is with my rhino. The high cut shoulder dart creates tons of room for movement, and there is always space in front of the chest, so no rubs! It doesn't slide back like other blankets. The surcingles going through the blanket instead of pulling it around the belly creates a pocket of warm under the horse. My only qualms are that it pulls down on his withers a little (i have yet to find a blanket that doesn't), and I ordered what they call "navy" and it is BRIGHT, florescent purple. The neck also is a bit big (i have a more tb type warmblood, russian, who has a relatively thin neck) so when he bends down to eat it sticks out almost horizontally. Other than that it is amazing. Fits so well!
How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your BlanketThe fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your BlanketBlankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
