Outer shell in waterproof/wind-stopping nylon.Cut slightly longer in back for superior coverage. Shoulder gussets provide freedom of movement. I bought this jacket several years ago before an equestrian vacation to Ireland. It rained 4 out of 5 days we rode and was cold and windy. One day it rained pretty hard . This coat is truly waterproof. I was warm and dry the whole time. I used it most of the 5 different ways according to the weather and it was great and very versatile! I have taken it to Europe 2 other times and it works well even on non-riding trips. The only thing I would change is the tight fit of the inner jacket. I recommend this to anyone riding in various weather conditions. It is so versatile.

I got this jacket for Christmas, and rode in it the same day, in the rain! It worked extremely well, genius how it has double zippers you can zip up partially to make room to cover the pommel!! I loved it!! I love the inner layer, and it's a great looking jacket all together!! A MUST BUY!!!

I received this for Christmas this year and absolutely love it! I don't know why people are complaining, This jacket is worthy of twenty stars!!
My only complaint is that the shell alone is big if you don't use the drawstrings, but adjusted, it is PERFECT!!!
