Shoulder gussets alleviate pressure and allow freedom of movement. Low bias surcingles, clip-and-dee front closures. Tail flap, removable elastic leg straps and reflective piping. Fleece protection at withers. In charcoal/./navy, charcoal/hunter or charcoal/burgundy.

I finally have a blanket that I actually love. Have used it for 2 seasons now and it's still holding up great. No leaks or tears despite being on an active horse who is turned out all day in the soggy Pacific Northwest. Love the fit of this blanket too, as it allows my guy full movement yet doesn't shift or rub. Don't change a thing, Dover; you've got a winner here!

LOVE THIS BLANKET. I already owned the NorthWind sheet, but bought this blanket for colder weather. As with the sheet, this blanket has nice, sturdy fabric, solid construction, and quality hardware. The fit is excellent with lots of possibilites for adjustment. Love the pleated tail flap. My horse was dry and toasty warm after standing out in a 28 degree snow storm. Add to that an extremely reasonable price, and I just couldn't be happier. Dover, don't change a THING on this blanket!!

How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket

The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your Blanket

Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
