Waterproof and breathable. 640-denier outer shell in Teflon®-coated ripstop polyester woven in a grid pattern to prevent tearing. Nylon lining. Surcingle easy-touch front closures for a secure fit. No center seam, so moisture stays out. Deeper fit to hold blanket in place. Low cross surcingles. Tail flap for protection from the elements and to keep blanket from shifting. Adjustable leg straps to prevent shifting and blowing up in the wind. Fleece at withers to prevent rubbing. Easy care: machine washable.

I bought the blanket for the price and it has turned out to be an awesome blanket. Havn't gotten rips or tears, stays pretty clean and dry through the winter weather in WI. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants quality for a good price. Rider's International products are great!

I have four of these turnouts, the oldest of which we have used for about four winters. These are simply the best turnout blankets! I have a stable full of warmbloods, ranging in body type from 17.2h and heavy to 16.1h and TB-like. These turnouts are cut well enough and adjust enough to fit this wide range of types. There is no pressure on the withers! The fittings are easy to fasten and unfasten, so that the turnouts go on and come off quickly and stay in place when the horses are out. You really appreciate this if you have to rug up an entire stable of horses every night! Unlike other reviewers, I have not had issues with tearing, even though my horses go out in a pasture with some trees and brush. I've owned a lot of different turnouts and blankets over many years, but I would definitely buy this turnout again. The midwieght is perfect for our milder winters in central Texas.

How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your BlanketThe fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your BlanketBlankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
