Great blanket! Little Small.

I bought this to go under my horse's turnout for extra warmth. The inside is a soft material which tends to rub so i put a shoulder guard on him every time he wears it. This blanket also runs a bit small. I ordered the 78 which doesn't quite fit around his hind end. Other than that it has held up very well. Not one rip after a year and a half of owning this blanket.

This was a great blanket for my mare. It fits her well. I admit I've been turning her out with it on and she has been fine. My only complaint about this blanket is that it does not include leg straps but worst there is only one set of D-rings. So I've had to attach my own leg straps to the belly straps. If you don't the blanket flies up on to the horse's back. Again, my mare didn't care but I know some that would.

not sure why people are turning their horse out in a stable blanket, but if you feel like going through a blanket each season...go for it. I thought this was an awesome deal and has lasted me 2 winters already (mind you, Florida winters are very mild and my horse is only blanketed at night in his stall). I would recommend this to anybody who wants to keep the chill away while their horse is being stalled.

How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket

The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your Blanket

Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
