I wanted a saddle which would put my seat deep in the saddle, which this one truely does. It allows me more freedom to use my aids much better and clearer so my horse has a better understanding of what I want of him. Saddle looks much sharper in person than what the pictures shows. I love this saddle and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be one with their horse.

I love this saddle so much! I bought the old version before the new one came out but it still looks pretty much the same. I love the soft, full grained leather which gives me a super steady grip, I love the deep seat and the way it balances me is amazing! My old saddle was awful, unbalanced and way too wide for my horse. When I first tried the Bates Isabell I immediately felt at home and my horse was comfortable as well, resulting in much better communication. Now when I have to ride in other saddles which are unbalanced I always feel lucky to have mine, I could never cope without my couch :) The Easy-Change system is wonderful - it allowed me to ride with this saddle on a large amount of horses, including: TBs and Anglo-Arabs with massive withers, an Appendix, Shire cross, Haflinger cross, Dutch Warmblood cross and a huge 17.1hh Dutch Warmblood gelding. Now I have a super wide Friesian mare and although the changing of the gullet from narrow to extra-wide (one of the violets) wasn't really Easy to Change

I love this saddle!!! I have ridden in other nice saddles and none compare to this one!
