Not impressed
K. Farmer from LA wrote (June 07, 2012):
I got this for a cheap flash bridle to take lessons in. I am not impressed with it. None of it fits right, for either the Selle Francais or the Quarter Horse, or any other horse at the barn I've tried it on. The nose band and flash are way too large and long, making me punch holes in both to get a fit, but then the end of the nose band sticks up. On the flip side, the throatlatch is on the very last hole to fit either of them, and could afford to be a bit longer still. The only thing that does fit is the sizing attaching to the bit. I also dislike the leather. I had another bridle, cheaper, with excellent leather. This one...there's something off about it. No matter how much I clean or oil, it still looks dirty and slightly dry, as if its not breaking in well or absorbing the oil. Over all, with bridle functions with some adjustments for what I need it to do. It lasts through lessons and the horses don't seem to mind it as long as I make sure all loose ends are tied down (I use braiding bands). But, I won't
Highly Recommended

I absolutely love this bridle. The leather is really nice looking and soft. I have no complaints about it at all. The cob size fits my Arabian perfectly! I'm very pleased with it. It's an overall wonderful bridle and looks expensive.
Ok bridle

This is a nice bridle, it came pretty soft, but the fit is absolutely terrible. I bought FS for my 16.1 hh thoroughbred mare, and it was absolutely enormous, so I sent it back and got CS. The throat latch was way to small, had to punch a hole at the very bottom, and the cheek pieces push the bridle up into her eyes, almost like she has blinkers on. Very hard bridle to fit.

I wss disappointed with this bridle--the throatlatch was way too small for my Belg/TB cross, even though I got the OS. The noseband was well padded and fit him, but the browband and noseband were two different widths--it looked like 2 different bridles put together.

I love this bridle for the price. It is made of good quality leather. It doesn't feel cheap. It was a wide noseband which I like. Although it fit a little differently the noseband and flash were very loose, I punched a few extra holes, and the throat latch is on the second to last hole but it works. Over all a good purchase

I just got this bridle today and I was so happy. I love the quality. I have the nose band on my other bridle (I purchased just the nose band). I love the bridle so I bought it to be my show bridle. I bought another browband for it to dress it up a bit. I love how soft the leather is and the fact that, it has the jawband.

This is a great bridle for a big horse. The O/S fits my Percheron who is very strong and has put it to the test.

I'm usually too lazy to go back and write reviews, even though I depend on them when purchasing tack. After purchasing this bridle at a great discount ($70), I was MORE than pleased with the quality of what I received, hence this review. I must say, this is a nice bridle with lovely quality leather. Agreed that this is substantial bridle and would not flatter a small arab head. For me this is a new schooling bridle, however, I would not hesitate to show it in either.

Overall a nice bridle for the price-good quality leather and well padded. However, I ordered the horse size and the cob size and both were way too large for my 4 year old half-arabian's head. Also, the noseband is very thick and would not flatter an arab or similar type head.

I have a 1/2 Percheron whose head is difficult to fit. The O/S version of this bridle provided an economical way to fit my large horse.

I have been using this bridle for three years, and I have been very impressed with the quality. The leather is easy to clean and has not showed any sign of wear or discoloration. I use it 4-5x a week and show in it. I have the cob size and it fits my polish arabian well. The jawband is very easy to losen/tighten as you wish, and the noseband is very stable and doesn't move or rub the chin. I would have no hesitation ordering another bridle from Crown.

This is a great bridle for the price. I purchased this bridle about 4 years ago and still use it. I recently bought another one for my 'show bridle.' I highly recommend this bridle to anyone who's looking for a beautiful, good quality bridle but doesn't want to pay a few hundred bucks.

I love this bridle and I feel like it looks just like any other 300 dollar bridle out there. It is of great quality for the money I spent
