For a properly fitted bridle, a caveson noseband should sit just below the horse's cheekbones – generally no more than the width of 2 fingers from the bottom of the cheekbone to the top of the noseband (this does not apply to drop or figure 8 nosebands). Figure 8 nosebands should sit above the bottom of the cheek bone only if they have a ring that allows movement connecting the noseband to the cheek piece. Properly adjusted cheek pieces will cause the bit to create two gentle wrinkles at the corner of the mouth on each side. Cheek piece buckles should generally be at the level of a horse's eye, and on a bridle that fits a horse's head very well, all buckles will generally be at the same level as each other. These cheek piece guidelines are just a suggestion, as finding a perfect fit on all horses is near impossible. Multiple holes are given on cheek pieces to allow for vast adjustment. Great bridle! You most definately get what you pay for and then some. Not only do I have one, but my trainer also bought one for her horse. I have a friend that liked the reins so much that she wanted to buy the bridle just for the reins. The only thing was we had to punch a few holes in it for my Thoroughbreds small face, but if this is the only complaint I have, I'm happy! It sure beats paying 100's of dollars for a top line bridle. I am going to buy another just to have for showing!

Nicely suprised! Thats what I was when I got my Sussex Blk/Wht Dressage Bridle, with flash! The leather was much better quality than I imagined it could be at this price! No rough seams, stitching, or edges. I had Demoed an HDR Dressage saddle that came with a FREE HDR Dressage bridle, which alone is priced @ $150.00. It wasnt near as supple or as substancial as the nose & headbands were much more narrow cut than the Sussex bridle. I dont think you could be disappointed with this bridle, for quality or price! I'm Seriously contemplating buying a 2nd bridle to have on hand, just in case this one gets stolen, lost, accidently destroyed for some bizzare reason, or eventually wears out, its well worth the investment.

This bridle is a great bargain! It is one of the lowest priced dressage bridles available, but the quality is good and it looks very nice. I have gotten many years of use out of this bridle. My cob size has fit a variety of horses.
