I wanted to buy a pair of pads that would give me security but was put off by claims that the "cheese grater" pads would ruin stirrup leathers and scratch your hands.
These are different. Secure but not abrasive like other pads. They give you security without the risk of damage to the leathers, and I can handle them directly when running my irons up with no issues. Plus they are secure in the iron itself since you are screwing them into place.
I highly recommend these!!
