Presented by Dr Rachel Roemer
After graduating with a degree in biology with honors from Brown University, Dr. Roemer went on to receive her veterinary degree from Cornell University in 2010. She then completed an intensive equine internship at New England Equine Medical & Surgical Center in Dover, NH. D After graduating with a degree in biology with honors from Brown University, Dr. Roemer went on to receive her veterinary degree from Cornell University in 2010. She then completed an intensive equine internship at New England Equine Medical & Surgical Center in Dover, NH. Dr. Roemer has worked at equine practices in Westchester County, NY/Fairfield County, CT and southern New Hampshire. She has a particular interest in sport horse medicine and lameness, but enjoys all aspects of equine medicine. Dr. Roemer is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) and incorporates integrative medicine into her practice when appropriate. She established Great Bay Equine in 2016, and provides care to horses in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.

Dr. Roemer began showing in the hunter and jumper rings when she was in elementary school. As an undergraduate student at Brown University, she was a member of the varsity equestrian team and represented Brown at IHSA Nationals.

Dr. Roemer continues to ride as much as possible and is now focusing on eventing. She lives with her husband and two dogs in Portsmouth, NH.

Directions from Boston and points South:

From Boston: I-93 North to I-495 North. Take Exit 51B onto Rt. 125 North to Plaistow. At the third set of lights, bear left onto Rt. 121(no sign). Dover is one mile on the left.

Directions from Manchester and points West:

I-93 South, to Exit 3, Rt. 111 East in Salem, NH. Continue on Rt. 111 to Hampstead, NH and take a right at the lights onto Rt. 121. Dover is 5 miles on the right, just after the first bridge in Plaistow.

Directions from Portsmouth and points East:

I-95 South to I-495 South. Take Exit 51B onto Rt. 125 North to Plaistow. Go straight, to the third set of lights, then onto Rt. 121. Dover is one mile on the left.

Meet the Store Manager

Joelle Graham is a USPC B-level graduate with over 25 years of horse involvement including horse ownership from Shetlands to Warmbloods, barn management and teaching; she has participated in dressage, eventing, USPC games, and show jumping. Joelle now enjoys her role as a horse show mom for her daughter.
