How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket

The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your Blanket

Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.

I love this sheet! I bought it about three years ago and it's still in great shape. It fits my 16H quarter horse just fine and looks great. The sheet is more durable than normal cotton sheets which is great for turnout and doesn't collect shavings in the stall. The surcingle front clasps are sometimes difficult to close in the cold of winter, but they aren't bulky so I don't have to worry about them rubbing my horse. Overall a fantastic sheet at a great price for all its uses.

These are affordable sheets that wear well and stays in place despite not having leg straps. The tail cord keeps the sheet from shifting. The style fits many body types.This is the second set of three that I have purchased for my horses after the first set finally wore out.

I thought the description said that this sheet is waterproof, it definitely is not. My horse got soaked underneath.
