How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your BlanketThe fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your BlanketBlankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.

I bought this for my gelding. It lasted a month before it was torn - inside and out while every other blanket on all the other horses were fine, even those that were much cheaper. I sewed it together and kept using it - it shredded after 1/2 a winter. The straps ripped off, etc. The cheaper blanket i bought as a replacement has lasted 2 winters. I will never by another one!

I have to replace this rug after only two winters. We live in Texas so it's had light use. Fits well, is warmer than average medium weight rug. Metal clips on surcingle and on front closure are substandard quality. They have deteriorated and are hard to open. My big beef after only 2 years IT IS NOT WATERPROOF and was heavy with absorbed water. Our gelding has a Rambo Rug that is still 100% waterproof after 7 years use & identical care.

Very nice blanket. My quarter horse mare is very rough on blankets but this one has held up VERY well. And she looks SUPER cute in it. :) I love the front clips, when your hands are frozen its soo much easier just to put the clips onto the little rings than having to buckle everything up. This blanket also does not rub her at all. I'm very happy with this blanket.
