These blankets are so cute and fit well, but that's where the positives end. Within the first 3 DAYS of my horse wearing this blanket I wound up replacing both front buckles TWICE! By the end of the first week, I had replaced at least one buckle or other hardware somewhere on the blanket each day and there were several large tears in the body. I really wish I'd known how cheaply made these were. It was a huge disappointment to me. I'll be sticking with Weatherbetta from now on, they are the only blankets I've had that consistently hold up, both fabric and hardware.
Great...if you like false advertising about rip-stop guarantees

This blanket is lovely, fits my horse super and seems like a great all around blanket. Until he starts playing (or shall I say gets played with.) This blanket ripped within three days and when I contacted the dealer about the large (two foot long rip and other multiple snags) they said their 'exclusive no rip guarantee' was not to include "incidental damage" such as the pictures of the giant rips I sent them. My gelding is tough on his clothes in the sense that he doesn't move right away when another horse pins their ears, but this is the first blanket that went to shreds. For a 1680D I was pretty disappointed. The 2100D faired slightly better but still had holes in it within a few days out in the field (and no, my horse is not THAT playful...honestly!) Would't buy a Pessoa again, which grieves me because they are beautiful to look at...just a bit sad when they are ripped in half in your garage in a field where hroses with 600D Big D blankets don't have a problem. :(

The front chest snaps broke the second day I had it on my horse. I agree that Passoa needs to upgrade their hardware. I owned a similar blanket in the past. The blanket lasted two seasons. I live in Michigan. My horse stays outside full time with a run in shed all winter. The blanket fit my Perceron cross well (84') and did not rub her shoulders. This is why I thought I would give the blanket another try.
How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your BlanketThe fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your BlanketBlankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
