How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket
The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.
Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.

Reviewed By: Katie (PA) I bought this blanket to keep an older arabian warm in the winter. The blanket fits him well. There is no rubbing on his shoulders, and he stays nice and toasty through the night. The blanket has held up extremely well when it comes to repelling dirt, mud, and water. Yet it remains breathable. I also loved the color options. The clips that wrap around his hind legs are placed up higher on the blanket than my weatherbeeta, so there's no manure stuck to the clips in the morning. I'm planning on buying one for my warmblood next year.

Reviewed By: Sara (GA) I bought this blanket for a very difficult-to-fit Thoroughbred mare; we had been through four blankets before I tried this one! It wasn't my first pick because of the mesh lining in the description, but when I did finally try it, the lining was actually nylon and not mesh. The blanket covers the mare's high withers very well and has a nice deep drop on the sides. The front closure makes for quick on and off and the grey plaid pattern was nice, but she has since covered it in Georgia red clay. I would definitely recommend this blanket to other Thoroughbred owners and will be fitting my other mare to one next year.
