Constructed with the revolutionary new frt-system®, the Passier® Sirius Dressage Saddle allows your horse's shoulder blades to rotate freely for unimpeded movement and improved performance in all gaits. As your horse's shoulders are not constricted by uncomfortable contact with the saddle, he becomes more content and responsive. The Sirius is also equipped with Passier's popular flocked Freedom Panels and a cut-back pommel that comfortably suits a range of wither conformations. The W-girthing system allows this saddle to remain properly balanced regardless of your horse's conformation and movement. In addition to the performance benefits of the Sirius, you'll appreciate the comfort and quality that is always synonymous with Passier. In soft yet durable Jupa leather, the deep, padded seat and discreet knee inserts offer support without forcing any one position. Two sets of thigh blocks with hook-and-loop fasteners can be swapped out or repositioned depending on needs and personal preference. Subtle patent leather trim adds a just the right amount of sophisticated style.

Studies have shown that when a horse's foreleg reaches forward and touches the ground, cartilage in the shoulder blade area protrudes outward due to muscle movement below it. With this knowledge, and using the already excellent PS tree as a starting point, Passier developed an anatomically curved gullet plate that prevents contact between the horse's shoulder blade cartilage and saddle tree during movement. And the free-rotation-tree (frt-system®) was born.

Freedom Panels create more space on either side of the withers by lowering the channel seam by 3/4" to virtually eliminate panel contact in this area. The Freedom Panel design includes a wide gullet and generous contact surface in the back third of the panel.
