I bought this girth for our large morgan, and it fit him well, but it becomes loose as u start your ride, so you have to get of a lot an tighten it. It is good for the price. This didn't bother me, but if you want it to stay clean, i think u should get a different girth, because the hair comes the strings. Other than that, really great.

I use this girth on medium and large ponies and they seem to love it especially in hot weather. I live actually in South Africa now so when I take the girth off the pony they don't seem to have sweated as much as they did with the other traditional girths. I do jumping and outrides (trail) alot in all type of terrain and it seems to hold securely and it isn't even dirty yet(or that I can tell). My ponies are also the color of the girth so I love how you can't even tell they have it on. Would buy it again.

The girth is just as I hoped, except that it is the incorrect size. The length on the package stated the size ordered; but a tape measure showed the size to be much shorter. Unfortunately--and this is no fault of Dover--I did not keep the receipt to exchange the girth for a properly sized one.
