I am really not a "gadget" person however I did find this a very useful tool for basic training on the lunge line. It is much more forgiving than side reins for a green horse, and the poll pressure is a great training aid. Its stretchy like a bungee cord so even if the horse is being resistant, its gives quite nicely. And I like that it releases completely when the horse flexes at the poll and really works thru his back and hind end. Overall a great training tool while not too restrictive. The only reason for 4 stars, is I would have liked to have seen it offered in a longer length. I have a large, long framed horse and a couple more inches of length would have been perfect.
