This Level 1 dee ring snaffle bit is for horses beginning training. The free-rotating barrel utilizes mostly tongue pressure and collapse onto the bars. The curved mouthpiece permits the horse to swallow more freely and distributes pressure evenly. Independent side movement allows the rider to isolate one side of the bit for bending, balancing or lifting a shoulder. Available in sizes: 4 1/2", 5", 5 1/4", 5 1/2".

I love this bit. I have a huge young jumper and he goes excellent in this bit. It allows you to keep the bit mobile without putting a ton of pressure on your horse's mouth. Gets the message across to my horse without making him irritated that somethings pulling all over his mouth.
