Fantastic low, winter boot

I just bought these boots and have only worn them once. It was 20 degrees the morning I rode in them. My feet were very comfortable the whole time, no cramping, they were plenty wide enough, and my toes stayed warm even when I was done and hung out around the barn for an extra 30 minutes or so. They also did not keep the dirt in the foot bed like my dressier paddock boots do so I was able to get in the car without having to change shoes.

I only gave these boots a 3 because they are not as "cozy" as I had hoped they would be. Sure, they are lined with warm furry stuff, but I had to add an insole to them to make them comfortable. They would not be ideal for anyone with a wide foot as they are quite narrow. I'm happy wearing them around the barn, but I know they will not be warm enough in the real cold of winter for someone like me who gets *really* cold feet. On the upside, they are cut low enough and the elastic gives enough that there should be no problem getting heels down and I can almost get my ariat half chaps over them too - just can't quite zip them down all the way.
