I have owned Grand Prix paddock boots for years. My last pair were lace up that lasted me about 20 years, just added a new sole once. I just bought the zip boot in lieu of the lace up because that was all that was in stock at the time. I do like the boot very much but notice that they really stretch out right after breaking in. They are waterproof and I like that, the leather is nice but I like the lace up much better because I can tighten where needed to keep the fit. I am going to buy the lace up and keep these as back up.

These are a made of cheap "leather" and in no way are "the finest French calf leather"; rather it is a thick material that has been made water resistant. I have owned older versions of the Grand Prix paddock boot and they were nice; these from Dover are not them so I returned them.

THese are the best boots I have ever bought! they are worth every penny I spent! THey really are waterproof, and the waterproofness really lasts. the sole prtects them from scuffing, and the are comfortable. they are made with very soft leateher and break in right away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
