I'm a para-dressage rider. Since I ride with a prosthetic I need safety stirrups. However, as I get higher in the levels, the peacocks were just not professional enough for me. I bought these and I love them. I've introduced them to multiple people at the therapeutic barn I ride at and they love them. My one hang up on these: the squeaking. At first its humorous but during a dressage test its distracting. They dont just squeak a little, they squeak loud enough to echo through an indoor arena and just loud enough for the judges to hear if you're outside. Not very subtle at all.

I really like the design and idea behind these however, they squeak incessantly no matter what I put on them. So, if you are thinking of getting these make sure you have some WD40 or something like it because they will need to be oiled for every ride so they don't squeak. I think I will be getting some new irons because these are a hassle.

They are a more polished look than the peacock style safety stirrup. Great for the show ring and a cheap form of injury prevention, like a helmet.
