The curved mouthpiece eliminates interference and stops the bit from hitting the roof of the mouth, allowing room for the tongue. The shape also reduces the severe direct pressure on the bars of the mouth. Hand polished stainless steel. Available in sizes: 4 3/4", 5", 5 1/2".

Seems like a great bit. I bought it for my draft cross. She was getting rubs from a loose ring snaffle so we were using the rubber bit guards. That was kind of annoying to both of us. The eggbutt seems very comfortable for her and is great to use for training a soft mouth.

A solid bit that is so soft on the mouth. My horse loves it. He tended to shake his head a lot, which was correctable but a nuisance. With this bit, the head shanking has stopped.

After spending hundreds on KK Sprenger bits, all of which my gelding resisted, I finally purchased one of these bits at a fraction of the price, and he LOVES it! He is now taking contact, totally relaxed and our trainer could not be happier. Anyone want to buy a barely used, over-priced loose ring snaffle cheap? I have 2 :)
