Nice Looking but Be Careful

I really liked the look and feel of these leathers when I found them in the retail store. On the first use, however, the bottom edge of the metal tips at the top of the leathers severely rubbed, nearly made a hole, in my new dressage saddle. I examined the edges and they were perfectly smooth which tells me the little extra depth is enough to rub.

I LOVE these leathers. I have a calfskin Devoucoux and these leathers were nicer than the Devoucoux ones. Does not ever leave a mark on my saddle. The leather is so soft and supple, no breaking in needed. My friend has these same leathers and they?ve lasted so long. Just now are they starting to peel a bit. Granted, lined leathers DO NOT last as long as solid leather ones. The calfskin wears, but the prestige calf seems to wear much harder than other brands. The holes do not close up and they?re very easy to adjust. I?m overjoyed with these leathers. They?re awesome!

I originally bought the Collegiate 1/2 hole leathers but they were stiff and the bulge they created under my inner thigh was painful. My trainer uses these leathers and suggested I try them. WOW what a difference. So soft and supple right out of the box and NO BULGE. I also love that the holes are numbered. The tobacco matched my buffalo leather Antares saddle perfectly.
