Measure around your head at the widest part, be sure to do this with your hair up if that is how the helmet will be worn. Match the measurement up with a size based on the size chart below. The tape measure should be snug.

I just purchased this helmet after destroying my Troxel in a fall. I have a rounder head and the charles owen I initially bought to replace it was a little snug on the sides, but this helmet fit perfectly! I love it! I have very thick curly hair and it doesn't snag in the harness!

I have had this helmet for about 2 years and I like it very much. Although if you have thicker longer hair I would recommend getting a size bigger. Works for schooling or shows, very good helmet!!

I do not own this helmet, but at a "B" rated show I saw an assistant trainer riding in this helmet. It looks much classier than in the photo! She had the grey, and it looked very nice. I own an XR9 (charles owens do not fit my head) and its a wonderful helmet.
