I have been using this on my jumper for a mid suspensory strain. I leave it on for 20-30 minutes after I ride and can leave her in her stall eating hay while I do other things. No more standing with a hose running on the leg. It keeps all swelling down and helped speed her recovery. The tape does feel warm to touch but the leg is cold as the tape pulls the heat out of the leg. I find storing the tape in the refrigerator helps prolong its life. I love it!

We use these alot on the two year olds. When they are being walked down, just fill up an ice bucket, the hot walker simply pours the ice water on the bandages every few minutes. They work much better than the old cold water bandages, and are far more economical.

These simply do not stay cold. Even when used for a short time, I would find they were body temperature or even warmer when removed. Great idea ... doesn't work.
