I tried this holder after seeing a regular holder with the paint missing, rusted, and then break; leaving sharp edges that could cut a horse. I have to say it's a little pricey if you need more than one, but I feel so good knowing my horse won't hurt itself on this holder! As for the other review, There is some assembly so maybe they didn't make the screws tight enough.

These are very cheaply made salt block holders. In less than one week, more than half of our horses had destroyed them. They are thin plastic and the horseshoe pops right off to leave four long screws sticking out for your horse to get hung on. Absolutely the worst holders we have tried.
