I ordered this boot for a high energy 17.3 hand QH that pulled a front shoe (and part of his foot) off and left nothing for the farrier to nail a shoe to. He has been wearing the boot every day for a month - I only take it off to clean it and check his foot. It has held up so well that I am amazed! The velcro straps could be a little bigger, to help fine tune the adjustment, but that is the only thing I don't like. I plan to order two more, one for a spare for this horse, and another one for emergencies to go in my horse trailer.

Overall this boot works well. My horse has a tendency to throw shoes and it's easy to throw this on in the meantime. It fits well and doesn't rub at all. If my horse is going to go out in the paddock with it, I do have to reinforce it with duct tape, but otherwise the boot has held up extremely well.

I bought this boot to keep on my trailer for emergency use away from home. Boy, was I glad I had one when my horse pulled a shoe at a show! I used it that day, and for the next day and a half until my farrier could get there. The boot held up well, protected my horse's hoof and did not rub him. This is a great product!
