Really great product for horses that aren't drinking

My Andalusian has been stalled due to a foot injury for months with only hand walking. He had virtually stopped drinking and the only liquids we were able to get in him were at meals three times a day. His piles remained tight and worrisome. This product is the only product I have found to get him to drink as well as soften his manure. I am convinced this is a great find. He will lick the block but to make sure he is getting it I give him 1/2 Tbsp am ( crushed into powder) and it has made a huge difference in his piles. He also goes to his bucket to drink. My farm manager and I are delighted with this product.

I purchased the Black Rock salt in the past. The black rock salt does have a strong sulfur smell so your horse may at first be unsure. However after my horse was licking the salt for a few weeks, i noticed a drop in fly activity around my horse. My horse appeared to freely choose the black salt over her normal pink himalayan salt. Black Rock Salt is also great for cooking, it tastes great ground over butter (spread the salted butter on some fresh made bread- divine).

Surprised at the first review since they never used the product? However intelligent shoppers know that black salt is wonderful and full of minerals. Horses tend to bloat from gas and if severe enough cause a horse to colic. Black salt reduces this risk since it aids in digestion and was used many years ago and still to this day by some to ward off evil spirits. Wonderful product. I prefer mine on a rope since they love to play and eat.
