I got this as a Xmas gift for my OTTTB's as a cross-country stadium bit to try while I decided if they preferred a d ring or a loose ring. Either way, they hated this bit, my Paint didn't like it either. When you get the bit the rubber disc is very soft and moves a bit to encourage the horse, but the actual diameter of the bit is WAY TOO THICK! My guys all wear bridoons in the loose ring styles for this exact reason, they hate thicker mouthpieces. They also love the Auriagan HS Ultra with the slightly changed middle bean. They hated the dynamic, but many of the dressage trainers around here swear by them. If you want to try this, find a place that rents them (they are here in the us, just google it) and rent this first, better yet I will sell you mine. :)

I regularly use the Ultra snaffles but decided to try the soft loose ring on my young horse who gets tense and grinds his teeth. It has seemed to make a wonderful difference. He is now chewing the bit and acting much more relaxed.
