This is a SUPER bit. I agree with everything said by Vanessa in her it dramatically improves contact, has a nice leading effect in turns, and runs somewhat big. On soft contact I detect no sign of fear, resistance or discomfort from my horse. Worth every penny.

My horse is very forward, very fast - loves to run - was a polo pony before I got him. He started with a double bridle, standing martingale then I moved him to a Pelham and now this bit. He is doing Very well in it, and I feel like I have complete control. He accepts it readily. I highly recommend this bit. Runs big.

This bit is wonderous...stop searching and buy this bit. I tried it on a strong OTTB for his first ride and wow did he settle immediately into a different kind of riding. Within a few days he was reaching long and low for the bit and within a month or two had a kind of collection that could turn any pro trainer green with envy! Also, turns were hard for him to understand at first but this bit is IDEAL for supporting a horse learning how to make nice, fluid turns. Has a very good leading action like a full cheek but soft and giving like an eggbutt. My only warning is that it measures big. My horse needs a 5 1/4 so that is what I ordered. The 5 1/4 actually measures a full 5 1/2...so I would say with THIS bit, to size down if unsure. Really a great bit worth every penny and nice looking, too.
