Herm Sprenger System 4-F stirrup irons pivot in four directions simultaneously, allowing greater comfort and improved performance. The offset eye helps hold the iron in the correct position for optimal foot placement. Special treads adapt to foot, ensuring permanent contact with stirrup. Weighted bottoms. Size 4 3/4". Note: due to rubber covering, stirrup is 1/4" smaller than size given.

I use the irons on my dressage saddle for trailrides and lessons. My feet do not fall asleep any longer, the flexibility of the jointed iron avoids the tourniquet effect I experienced with my old irons. Best part for me is the quick recovery of the iron due to the off set eye.

I am about to purchase my second pair of these irons (for my dressage saddle). I currently use them in hunters and also on long trail rides. What a difference they make for me since my accident in which I no longer have the ankle flexibility that I once had. It would be almost impossible for me to recover my stirrup while riding in a traditional iron but the offset eye helps compensate for my altered flexibility.
