Finding What You Need
If you have an idea of what you're looking for, but don't have a catalog available to you, take advantage of our helpful Keyword Search. Enter a word or phrase that pertains to what you're looking for, as specific or vague and you would like, and click "Search". You will be taken to a results page with all items that best match what you searched for. Once you're on that page you can refine your results by category, brand, price range, rating, sub category, size, and color. Our Keyword Search is located on the left side of the page, above our category listings.
Shopping from a Catalog
If you are shopping directly from your catalog, you'll notice that each item has a unique item number listed. Once you know what you want to see on the web, enter that full item number (example: KB-1997) in the "Order from Catalog" text box on the left side of our website and click "Go". This will take you directly to the product you wish to view. The "Order from Catalog" box is located just below Keyword Search and above our category listings.
It is important to enter the item number EXACTLY as it appears (including any dashes), especially for Sale and Closeout items, to ensure that you buy specific colors/sizes and that you receive the correct price. Please note that even though you enter the Item Number exactly as it appears in the offer, certain Closeouts and Special-Buys may not be available through the website if they have already sold-out.
If you would rather browse through our items based on product type, we suggest you explore our categories. Organized by type of product, riding discipline, and specific product features, our categories will help you navigate through our wide selection of quality products.
On the left side of our website we offer to you a list of all the categories built in an expanding format for ease of use. In addition we've highlighted our most commonly shopped categories, featured using tabs on both the top and bottom of our site.
Looking for an item not in the Dover Saddlery Catalog?
Submit an inquiry via email to email@example.com and we'll research it and get back to you. Please include all relevant information: Where you've seen the product, desired size and color, etc.
Placing an Order
When on the product page, you will find product descriptions along with available sizing, technical, and brand information. You can check what color/size combinations are in stock by clicking the "IN STOCK? CHECK NOW" button. To make shopping easier, our drop down menus will show all colors and sizes that can be ordered; any color/size combinations that are no longer available (for example sold out closeout items) will not appear. If you would like to order a color or size that you do not see, please contact us and we will do our best to track it down for you. To order an item from the product page, you must enter your color choice first, you will then be able to select a size based on what is available to order. For products with monogramming options, please be sure to fill out all the necessary information before adding an item to your cart. When you have filled out all of the information needed on the product page, simply click "Buy Now" to add the item to your cart. From there you may check out, or continue shopping.
2. Shopping Cart
When in your shopping cart, you always have the option to click "Continue Shopping" to continue browsing our site and add additional items to your cart. For your convenience, all existing items will remain in your cart. You also have the ability to change the quantity of items in your cart without going back to a product page. Promo Codes should be entered in the cart at this point. Any applicable additional shipping along with expected ship dates will appear in your cart as well on each item.
3. Sign In
Before checking out you will be asked to sign in, this is a secure page. You may sign in as a returning customer if you have previously created an account with us, or if you are a new customer you can enter your email and quickly create an account. You may also sign in as a guest, in which case an account will not be created nor saved for you. If you have an account and have forgotten your password, simply click on "Forgot your Password?", enter your email address, click 'Show Hint' and your personal password hint will appear. This will not show your password. If you are still having trouble remembering your password with your hint, click the 'Email Password' button and your password will be sent to the email address you used to build your account.
Checkout is where you need to submit payment information, enter any gift certificates you plan on using, choose your shipping method, and enter your catalog priority codes. This is a secure page. If ordering from a catalog, please enter the source codes located on the back of your catalog in the yellow and blue boxes. If you have any questions at any point during checkout, please don't hesitate to contact one of our customer service representatives. Your billing and shipping information will appear at the top on the left of your checkout screen; you may update this information at any time before clicking "Submit Order".
5. Order Confirmation
Once you have completed your order information and submitted your order, you will be taken to a confirmation page which summarizes your order and provides you with an order number. This information will also be sent to you in a confirmation email. We suggest that you hold onto this information for your records. If at any point in time you have a question regarding the order you placed, it is helpful if you have this order number on hand when contacting a customer service representative
Product availability can be checked on a product page by clicking the "IN STOCK? CHECK NOW" button and will also be shown in your cart for each item added.
Using a Promotional Code
Promotional codes can come from various sources, such as emails, advertisements, catalog mailings, etc. No matter where you received the promo code, you can enter it in the cart under "Have a promo code?" to receive your special offer.
When ordering online, payment options include the Dover Saddlery Visa Platinum card, Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Discover, and/or gift certificates.

Cancelling an Order
If you need to cancel an order after completing checkout, please contact a customer service representative by Phone 1-800-406-8204, Email or Chat as soon as possible.
Gifts & Gift Cards
Gift cards may be purchased through the website HERE and can be mailed or emailed to you or the recipient. If sending as a gift, please be sure to fill out message and recipient information on the product page by selecting "Specify To/From & Add Message". For easy ordering, gift cards are available online in the following denominations: $10, $25, $50, $100, and $200. To order gift cards of other denominations, please contact a customer service representative.
Redeeming a Gift Card
To redeem a gift card and apply it towards your order online, simply enter the gift card number at checkout after signing in. There is a box labeled "Have a gift certificate?" which is where you will enter the gift card number. To apply your gift card to an order over the phone, please have the number ready. Your gift card number can be found by rubbing off the gray box on the back of your card, just above the barcode. To apply your gift card to a purchase in one of our retail stores, simply bring the card with you when you shop.
