This halter is fine for a turnout halter or a spare, if you don't need to use a chain over the nose. The rings on side are too square to attach the lead.

I really, really love this halter! I just got it today! I am getting my first horse tomorrow and I know it will fit him great! And I know it will look amazing on him. All the detail, stitching, and real brass fittings, are really nice. They give it a great finished look. My only complaint is that it is a bit stiff when you get it, but that's nothing a little conditioner can't fix. :) I love this halter! Get it! :)

This halter is very durable and I love how it looks on my dapple grey thoroughbred! Just polish it and it looks like it just came out of the package!
