I use this as a side pull with my mare Rain.. It is sturdy however my mare has a more petite muzzle so it is just a bit loose on her. I wish it came in black as well as brown leather. I have used mine for 2 years, and it is still in great condition. I ride Rain in the mountains with this so it's great to be able to hop off for a break and let the her graze without having to take her headstall/bit off. I really like it. Hooks to any headstall. Rain loves it.

This is what I trail ride my horse in and it works great for us. She always hated a bit and tossed her head and was so preoccupied (her teeth are fine - hardly ever has to have them floated - checked twice a year). She works great in this and is so much more relaxed on our rides. People at the barn have a hard time believing I ride with this but for my horse and I it works great. Have been using it for 3 years and it still looks brand new. My horse slips her head into her bridle with this with no hesitation. Just love it!

I have used this product for 5 years on my horse and absolutly love it over Bits... I have all the control I need with a head strong horse and can allow my horse to do grazing runs with me from time to time during a ride break with out having to worry about him eating with a bit in his mouth. I like it so much that i am ordering a second one to have on hand. I Completely Recommend it. Ii the 5 years i have used it I lunge in it, Ride in it, Jump and Show in it. Great attachment to a bridle that looks good too. Makes me feel better as a humane horse owner as I know I wouldn't want to be ridden all the time with something in my mouth! My horse appreciates it.
